alpha Kappa Delta Phi Announces Troylyn LeForge As Incoming Executive Director
BRENTWOOD, TN, April 4, 2022 -- alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc. (aKDPhi) proudly announces the hiring of Troylyn LeForge as its new Executive Director.
aKDPhi anticipated the hiring of a new Executive Director as leadership began plans for an organizational restructure in 2019, and launched an extensive search last year under the guidance of a search committee that includes Brenda Dang, Risha Roa, Rizcion Dagani, Amanda Malloy, Helen Xu, Michelle Leung, Arianne Lazaro, and Cathleen Manivong. LeForge was recommended to the Board of Director based on her values and experience in organizational leadership, as well as her proven strengths developing and leading people, engaging in strategic planning, driving results, and guiding change.
LeForge, a coach and mentor, brings nearly two decades of Greek Life experience previously serving as Assistant Director of Student Affairs at Transylvania University and Assistant Dean of Students at University of North Texas, Denton, and most recently as Executive Director of Alpha Omicron Pi (AOPi) from 2009 to 2020. She will commence her full duties as Executive Director in late May.
“When we first started our Executive Director search in the Summer of 2021, we were intentional with how we wanted to approach the role criteria and interview process. It was important that our sorority’s core values were embedded in the process and that our next Executive Director would align with our strategic objectives,” said Brenda Dang, Chairman of the Board. “When we met with Troylyn during the search, it became very clear that not only is she the best candidate for the role - she is the right candidate for our team. I am thrilled to work with Troylyn and am excited to see all that our sorority will be able to accomplish in the coming years.”
Troylyn stated “I'm excited to partner with the Board of Directors, the International Leadership Board, and members to promote and advance an extraordinary and relevant member experience rooted in the core values and mission of the organization."
After an extensive search conducted over the past year, Troylyn’s hiring comes at a pivotal point for alpha Kappa Delta Phi. The organization has undergone a major organizational restructure and brand refresh within the past two years, Troylyn’s leadership will help fortify the foundation of these changes. She succeeds Michelle Lee who served as the previous National Board President and is finishing her term as Interim Executive Director under the new organizational structure.
“We are looking forward to Troylyn's guidance as we work together to further the growth and development of our sorority’s vision and mission, while building on the legacy of our founders. I am so excited to welcome her to the team and am confident she will help elevate our organization further,” said Michelle.
