STAY INVOLVED
The αΚΔΦ alumnae network fosters lifelong friendships and a lasting sense of community.
The αΚΔΦ sisterhood creates a bond that lasts long after graduation. αΚΔΦ’s National Alumnae Association
was establish to connect over 9,000 alumnae sisters worldwide, while advancing our mission and vision beyond campus life.
Recent graduates and seasoned alumnae alike are invited to stay involved through the αΚΔΦ National Alumnae Association. The National Alumnae Association leverages the potential of our sorority’s network to connect, support, and impact the lives of our sisters through a variety of programming.
CHAPTER ALUNMAE ASSOCIATIONS (CAA) Chapter Alumnae Associations (CAA) foster the relationships among chapter sisters and between alumnae and their active house. Many CAAs host alumnae sisterhoods, sisterhoods with their active house, BCA service events, and professional and leadership opportunities. CAAs may be established by any chapter at any time. An active chapter officer or interested alumna(e) member may contact our CAA Manager at caa-manager@akdphi.org.
ALUMNAE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM The Alumnae Volunteer Program consists of alumnae volunteers serving our organization through the International Leadership Board, various committees, task forces, and through our project-based program, the Alumnae Volunteer Reserve. The dedication of our alumnae truly fuels our sorority and through our Alumnae Volunteer Program the NAA finds ways to appreciate our alumnae for their service and further develop their leadership and technical skills. Sign up for the Alumnae Volunteer Reserve today.
ALUMNAE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Chapter Alumna Advisors play a crucial role in the development and stability of a collegiate chapter by providing guidance in matters of chapter management, NMP compliance, and strategic planning. The Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) provides structured guidance, governance and training to the Sorority’s collegiate chapter Alumna Advisors.
PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS
The NAA encourages alumnae to engage with programming supporting aKDPhi’s national philanthropy, Breast Cancer Awareness. Currently this is achieved through donating, supporting active fundraisers, and participating in international and local BCA events, including aKDPhi’s Annual 100 Miles for BCA Challenge. The 100 Mile Challenge focuses on building awareness and encourages sisters to participate in physical activities which can lower their risk of breast cancer.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
The NAA offers various opportunities for our active and alumnae members to develop professionally and broaden their network. The NAA hosts a podcast entitled “KDPhi-Cast” which highlights our alumnae through interviews about their lives post graduation, their careers and how aKDPhi has helped them navigate both. Our Professional Development Manager also manages NAA’s Mentorship Circle Program, regional career panels for our active members, and the NAA Professional Suite.
ALUM CONVENTION AND ALUMNAE EVENTS
Alumnae are invited and encouraged to attend the different alumnae events hosted and supported by the National Alumnae Association throughout the year. Our annual Alum Convention offers sisters the opportunity to travel, attend workshops, network, and relax and explore a new city with sisters and their families. The NAA also hosts and encourages our Chapter Alumnae Associations to host Sisterhood Pop-ups to connect local sisters.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
αΚΔΦ thrives thanks to the dedication of our sisters, and alumnae volunteers can make a difference in the future of αΚΔΦ by volunteering their time and talents. No matter the size of the commitment, alumnae volunteers ensure the continued success of our organization.
INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Board of Directors works with our International Leadership Board to set the vision and overall strategic direction of the organization. These seven elected officers, all sorority members in good standing, also serve as trusted fiduciaries for aKDPhi.
The National Alumnae Association Committee is a governing board that manages the day-to-day operations of the organization on an international level and coordinates the growth of aKDPhi’s alumnae network across the world. The board’s eight volunteer officers develop alumnae-focused programming and work collaboratively with the International Leadership Board to further the mission and vision of αΚΔΦ.
